Speaking on the theme of Digital Technologies Transforming India, Dharam Vir, IAS, Chief Secretary Haryana (Retd.) and promotor of the NGO -  Society for Promotion of Science & Technology in India (SPSTI), Chief Guest of theAnnual Mega Event & Networking Meet of Chandigarh Management  Association (CMA) for the year 2017-18, said that “Technology holds the key to growth – be it business or a nation.” The theme of Digital Technologies  Transforming India initiated a wave of discussions across tricity on the innovative technologies and their creative impact on businesses & Indian  economy. CMA organised this meet on June 16, 2018 at Hotel Mountview, Sector 10, Chandigarh. Mr. Dharam Virfurther said, that organisations have  been redesigning their products, services, channels, and operations to grow their revenue through the convergence of emerging technologies such as  the Internet of things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, cloud, blockchain, augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR). President CMA, Mr.  Deepak Dhingra, in his welcome address expressed that we live in an age of rapid transformation – one that has witnessed disruptive innovations,  rising consumer expectations and reduced shelf life of the technology. 

This has reshaped how businesses perceived technology and forced them to reimagine even the most successful business models.It was a grand  event wherein CMA released its various publications including a book titled, Contemporary Management Practices, a research report on Corporate  Happiness Index Survey and CMA’s monthly eNewsletter. Prizes were awarded to the winners through a lucky draw for the Member Plus Campaign  initiated by CMA. Awards were presented to outstanding members of the association for their remarkable contribution followed by induction of new  members. CMA’s membership was digitised and bar coded smart ID cards were issued to members on this occasion.Seasoned experts on the theme  from the industry were also invited to share their knowledge and experiences. The speakers Mr. Hirdesh Madan, Director Bulls Eye and Mr. Harit  Mohan, CEO & Founder of Signicent Information Solutions LLP, Mohali, shared some amazing facts on the role of modern technologies that are  transforming not just businesses but the country’s economy as a whole. A total of 90 plusindustryexperts attended the event which concluded with a big  round of discussions, question and answers followed by a networking session.
