Meetings To Be Held With Concerned Ministers For Resolving Issues Pertaining To Finance & Education Departments

The Social Security, Women and Child Development Minister, Aruna Chaudhary today held a meeting with the Anganwadi Employee Union leaders in her office here at the Punjab Civil Secretariat in which she gave a very patient hearing to the demands put forward by the union leaders and assured to fulfill the just demands. Apart from this, the minister also decided to have meetings with the concerned ministers to resolve the demands connected with the Finance and Education departments. The minister again summoned the union leaders for a meeting on 17th of July.Mrs. Chaudhary said that the department fully sympathizes with the demands of the anganwadi workers and said that the department is of the opinion that those demands which are justified ought to be resolved immediately and the demands which are out of the purview of the department and are connected with the other departments must be resolved by holding meetings with the related ministers.

Mrs. Chaudhary further said that as regarding the demands related to the Finance Department, she would soon met the Finance Minister, Mr. Manpreet Singh Badal. Similarly, a meeting would also be held with the Education Minister Mr. O.P. Soni to implement in toto the joint instructions formulated by the Education and Social Security departments on 26th November, 2017 on the eve of beginning of the Pre-Primary Classes.Mrs. Chaudhary said that directions to the senior officers of the social security, women and child welfare department have been issued to redress the grievances on the spot.On the occasion, Political Secretary to the Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh-Captain Sandeep Singh Sandhu, Special Chief Secretary of the department Mr. K.B.S. Sidhu and Director Mrs. Kavita Singh apart from the Union Leaders Mrs. Hargobind Kaur, Mrs. Usha Rani and Mrs. Saroj were also present.
