National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah Monday filed his nomination papers as the NC-Congress Coalition Candidate from Srinagar Parliamentary Constituency. Dr. Farooq Abdullah was accompanied by Working President of National Conference and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and J&K Pradesh Congress Committee Chief Professor Saif-ud-din Soz. Soon after filing nomination papers, Dr. Farooq Abdullah visited Dargah Hazratbal to pay obeisance and seek blessings following which Dr. Farooq Abdullah visited Sher-e-Kashmir Mausoleum at Naseem Bagh and offered Fateh there.

Dr. Farooq Abdullah addressed a gathering of National Conference workers at Naseem Bagh and asked them to strengthen the hands of secular parties who have pledged to defend the secular ethos of the State and country in a battle against communal forces and pisive figures.Meanwhile, Dr Raja Muzaffar Bhat  whose candidature was announced by Arvind Kejriwal National Convener of Aam Admi Party (AAP) filed his nomination papers for contesting Lok Sabha elections from Srinagar parliamentary constituency before the Returning  Officer  Srinagar. He was accompanied by host of  supporters besides some prominent citizens.
