Terming the incumbent Modi government as most incompetent regime the country has ever seen, Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) Vice President and MLC G N Monga today said Central government has failed on all fronts and especially on the borders, where civilians and soldiers are dying almost every day.“This NDA government has not only failed to deliver on matters of foreign policy and social development, but has also failed on internal security. The country has never seen such an incompetent government,” Monga said in a statement issued to press in Srinagar.“The situation during the UPA rule was much better. During the UPA regime headed by Dr Manmohan Singh, there was comparative calm on borders in Jammu and Kashmir. However, during the last four years, the unprecedented sufferings of border people, has exposed the BJP’s failures to deal with Pakistan.Today issues concerning people living along borders, who are facing hard times due to firing, are not on agenda of the Prime Minister Modi,” he said.

The Congress leader said the BJP and PM Modi, who used the choicest of adjectives against Dr Manmohan Singh Government for its policy, has now proven to be utter failure to maintain calm on the borders and restore peace in the valley.“The record number of cease fire violation on the borders resulting into casualties of civilians and soldiers and making the life of all border residents miserable has increased manifold since the Modi government took over. It reflects the hollowness of its policy,” Monga said.“People of Jammu and Kashmir are paying heavy price for the failed policy of BJP government towards Pakistan and Kashmir. The shelling and firing on borders has become a routine affair but the Modi led BJP government has no roadmap or policy to deal with the situation. It is high time that the BJP leadership instead of making tall claims in the media, come to the rescue of the thousands of border dwellers whose life has become hell in the last nearly four years of BJP rule,” he added.
