Governor Acharya Devvrat and Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur accorded warm welcome to the President Shri Ram Nath Kovind on his arrival at Kalyani helipad in Shimla today. The President is on a six day visit to the State.The President, accompanied by his wife, the first lady Mrs. Savita Kovind landed at Kalyani Helipad Shimla.The President was accorded Guard of Honour by the contingent of Indian Army.Irrigation and Public Health Minister Shri Mahender Singh Thakur, who has been designated as the Minister-in-Waiting for the visit of the President was also present on the occasion.Mayor Municipal Corporation Shimla Smt. Kusum Sadret, Chief of Staff Lt. General Rajeev Sirohi AVSM, VSM, Chief Secretary Shri Vineet Chawdhry, Director General of Police Shri S.R. Mardi, Additional Chief Secretary and Principal secretary to the Chief Minister Dr Shrikant Baldi, Secretary GAD Dr. R.N. Batta, Deputy Commissioner Shimla Shri Amit Kashyap, SP Shimla Shri Omapati Jamwal were also present on this occasion.
