The State Government was committed to develop Haripurdhar as prominent tourist destination of the State for which the matter for developing it from tourism point of view would be taken up with the Government of India under the Swadesh Darshan Programme.This was stated by the Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur while presiding over the closing ceremony of three day long Mata Bhangayani Mela at Haripurdhar in Sirmour district today.Jai Ram Thakur said the area has an immense tourism potential and the State Government was committed to develop this area from the tourism point of view. He said that all basic facilities would be provided at Mata Bhangayani Temple complex in order facilitate the tourists and general public.He said that Himachal Pradesh was a rural state as over 90 per cent of its population live in rural area therefore main focus of the Government was to develop these areas in a big way. He said that fairs and festivals were the integral part of our culture and traditions.The Chief Minister said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi was being acknowledged as the World Leader and today about 21 States in the Country had Government of BJP or its allies. He said the credit of this achievements goes to our Prime Minister and BJP National President Amit Shah. He said that the Government would not work with the attitude of   vengeance and ensure balanced development of every part of the State. He said that previous Government opened 16 degree colleges in fag-end of its tenure by making a provision of mere Rs one lakh for each degree college. He said that the previous Government opened health and educational institutions without making appropriate budget provisions. 

He said that work was in progress on augmentation of Rs 1.76 crore Lift Water Supply Scheme for Haripurdhar and nearby villages. In addition, work was also in progress on about Rs. 63 lakh Lift Drinking Water Supply Scheme for Degree College Haripurdhar, he added. He said that Rs 12 crore would be spent on improvement and upgradation of Solan-Menus road from Nauradhar to Chadna. Rs 43 crore would be spent on under PMGSY in Renuka Assembly Constituency of the district and Rs 7 crore on Bandla-Gusain road under NABARD, he added. He said that Rs. 7 crore was been spent on construction of Mini Secretariat building at Sangrah, he added.Jai Ram Thakur said that the State Government in its very first cabinet of the State Government lowered the age limit for getting old age pension form 80 years to 70 years. He said the decision shows the commitment of the State Government for the old people. He said that the State Government introduced 30 new schemes for the welfare of the people and development of the State. Adequate budget provision has been made for all these schemes, he added. He said that the previous Government was being run by the tired and retired employees and the youth were completely ignored. He said that present Government was working with new zeal and enthusiasm. He said that the Government would lay special stress on the development of those areas which remained ignored during last five years.The Chief Minister announced opening of  police post at Haripurdhar,   PWD Sub Division at Bogdhar, Ayurvedic Dispensary at Beyong, Bus service from Chandigarh-Andhari to be extended upto Haripurdhar, Science and Commerce classes in Degree College Haripurdhar, upgradation of  Seu MS to High school, PS Mathal and Ponta to Middle school,construction of 2 rooms each in five schools of the area, patwar circle at Haripurdhar, Rs 1.50 crore of ITI building Maina, bridge would be constructed on Kura khud, sabzi mandi at Nauradhar and HARIPURDHAR, Rs 10 lakh for stadium at Haripurdhar, Rs 10 lakf for expansion of Halipad at Haripurdhar and Rs 21000 for mela committee. 

Speaker HP Vidhan Sabha Dr Rajeev Bindal said that the area has immense tourism potential which could be a major source of employment for the local youth. He urged the Chief Minister to develop Haripurdhar and Churdhar as major tourist attraction. He said that area was completely ignored in matter of development during the tenure of the previous Government.Member of Parliament Shimla Parliamentary Constituency Prof. Virender Kashyap said that the Union Government under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was committed for the welfare of the poor and downtrodden. He said that world biggest Health Insurance Scheme was launched by the Union Government providing insurance cover to 10 crore poor families with insurance cover of Rs. 5 lakh per year per family .Former CPS and MLA Paonta Sahib Sukh Ram Chaudhary while addressing the gathering said that the State was forging ahead on the path of progress and prosperity under the able leadership of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur. He said that the four months tenure of the State Government has witnessed some unprecedented initiatives for the welfare of the people of the State.BJP Leader Balbir Chauhan and former BDC Chairman Sahi Ram Chauhan also welcomed the Chief Minister and detailed various developmental demands of the area.President Mata Bhangayani Mela Committee Sant Ram Rana welcomed the Chief Minister and others on the occasion. While detailing the historic facts about this Mela, Rana also detailed various developmental needs of the area.MLA Pachchad Suresh Kashyap, former MLA Baldev Tomar, BJP Kisan Morcha State President Baldev Bhandari, Gen. Secy. State BJP Chander Mohan Thakur, District BJP President Vinay Gupta, Senior Vice President Mela committee Mela Ram Sharma, Gen Secy. Balbir Thakur, DC Sirmour Lalit Jain SP Rohit Malpani were present on the occasion among others.
