The District Development Commissioner Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary asked the public to participate in the developmental process by playing active role in plan formulation and effective monitoring of its implementation on the ground for better and visible results. He was speaking in series of public meetings convened at Dalheri, Gundah, Khawas, Keri and Bhella, the remotest parts of the District.The public meetings were held by DDC during his daylong visit in the area to inspect the developmental works taken up in Cluster Model Village Gundah-Keri-Bhella-Dalheri and take feedback from the real beneficiaries of project taken up under Special Central Assistance to Tribal Sub-plan.Speaking in the meetings Dr Shahid informed the public that under prestigious Model Village project, sustained funding of Rs 24 Cr spread over a period of three years shall be provided for setting all basic amenities vis-a-vis roads, water and power supply, enhanced healthcare infrastructure besides skill development of the unemployed youth and generating self-employment avenues in these villages.He impressed upon the participants that Village/Mohalla committees are constituted which will conduct gram sabhas to assess the actual developmental requirements in these villages and subsequently formulate plan for execution of works. He said the plan thus formulated shall be shared with concerned executing agencies, which in turn, execute works after ensuring technical feasibility.During the public meetings, the DDC was apprised of issues pertaining to construction and up-gradation of roads, creation of infrastructure of Health, Animal and Sheep Husbandry and Education Departments.
Regarding roads and bridges infrastructure, people demanded construction of Peerbaba-ManvaKalada, Dalheri-Daggal, Khawas-Chamutti and Main road-Rajoot, Main Road-PaweriDramman roads, upgradation of Mougla-Treru, Gadyog-Chikakhait, Khawas-Dalheri, Khawas-Keri, Mougla-Latti completion of Khawas, Masjid Wala and Kaladabridges, approach roads of Gundah bridge besides footbridge on Keri-KhawasNallah at DoongaSaral.Under education sector issues related to upgradation of schools including GPS Sangore, GMS Dalheri, GHS Narla and GMS Planch, completion of compound walls and additional classrooms of GHSS Khawas, completion of school buildings of GPS ChikaKhait, GMS Panjnara and GMS Salol which are left incomplete for last 8 years besides building for GMS Keri Gundi and Keri Dramna, inclusion of GPS Gundi in Winter Zone and staff for GMS Panda were raised in the meetings. Meanwhile issues pertaining to health department including PHC at Dalheri, ambulance and lady doctor and other staff in PHC Khawas and health sub-centre at Keri apart from holding of camps by health department for medical check up and issuance of various certificates for pension.Among other, demands for Aadhar Centre at Keri, Khawas and Dalheri, inclusion of rationees in BPL category, sanctioning of cases under Old Age, Widow Pension and Marriage Assistance, electric poles in Treru, transformer at Satyari, Veterinary Centres at Treru, Keri and Bhella, Water Supply Scheme for KoteCharwal, electricity, water supply and road connectivity to left out villages, provision of water for IHHLs constructed under SBM and Payment of land compensation were put forth for action by the DDC.
The DDC directed all the concerned officers to take immediate action in the issues raised by the people. It was decided that the Chief Education Officer shall submit a detailed report of school buildings left incomplete so that action is initiated in the matter besides submitting feasibility report for up-gradation of schools. It was also decided that joint camps of health and social welfare department shall be held at Dalheri, Khawas and Keri on 23rd and 26 of April for completing formalities for pension cases, which will then be forwarded to District Administration for action. Addl Deputy Commissioner Koteranka was asked to hold special camps to disburse all cases of land compensation within a fortnight period.Decisions were taken for construction of 3 additional classrooms for GHSS Khawas and completion of its compound wall, establishment of health Sub-centre at Keri and veterinary centre at Keri and Dalheri and completion of Khawas bridge by PMGSY in a month time. Concerned Tehsildar and BDO were directed to finalise the alignment and concerned land documents for starting of new roads as demanded by public. The concerned was also directed to identify land for Primary Health Centre at Dalheri. TSO Kalakote and Koteranka were directed to hold special camps to enlist all the eligible rationees to be included in BPL category in consultation with public.Addl DC Koteranka Shafiq Ahmed, Shrikant Suse (IAS Probationer), ACD Noor Alam, ExEn PHE Nisar Khan, ExEn PDD Munshi Khan, ExEn PMGSY Zubair Choudhary, CEO Lal Hussain, CMO Dr Suresh Gupta, other District and Sectoral Officers accompanied the DDC on his visit.
