Deputy Commissioner (DC) Leh Avny Lavasa today started his three-day extensive tour of Nyoma and Durbuk sub-divisions of Leh district where he will review the progress of ongoing development projects in the areas.Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Nyoma and Durbuk, senior officers of R&B, PHE, RDD LDA, Wildlife Warden and revenue officers of Nyoma and Durbuk sub-divisions accompanied the DC.Avny Lavasa directed the concerned to complete all the ongoing developmental works in both the sub-divisions within the stipulated time frame.She said that district administration is making all-out efforts to facilitate the people of Leh district with all basic amenities like road connectivity, safe drinking water, uninterrupted power supply, improved healthcare facilities, education, road connectivity, besides better lanes and drains. She said that there is no constraint of funds under development sectors.

Deputy Commissioner urged the people of Nyoma and Durbuk to cooperate with executing agencies in completing the ongoing development projects within given time.Earlier, Deputy Commissioner visited the Centralized Residential School, Puga and interacted with the teaching, non-teaching staff members and students and reviewed the educational infrastructure in the school.She asked the teaching fraternity to provide quality and moral education to the students in the schools.Later, Deputy Commissioner also convened public grievances redressal camps at Korzok, Chumoor and Tsaga villages and listened to the genuine issues of the people of the areas.She assured projected problems would be redressed on priority without any delay.Regarding relocation of Pangong camping site, she said that she will take up the matter with the concerned.
