Lashing out at ruling dispensation over failing to address people’s problems living in remote areas in Uri and elsewhere in the State, Senior Congress Leader and Former Minister Taj Mohi U Din today expressed serious concern over the difficulties confronting people, describing the ruling dispensation as anti-people.He  was addressing a largely attended public meeting at Gawalan (Uri) in District Baramulla, which is very near to Line of Control.Addressing the gathering Taj Mohi U Din expressed surprise over the attitude of the Govt towards the people of Gawalan Uri, which is a remotest place of Uri, saying that the developmental works started earlier in the village (Gawalan) has come to standstill, as a result, people were facing lot of hardships in absence basic facilities.Lack of Medical facilities, dilapidated condition of roads, shortage of electricity and other essentials have made the lives of people miserable. He said even the funds for construction of toilets under SWACH Bharat mission were not being released. What is the fun of making announcements regarding SWACH Bharat Mission, when funds under the scheme are not being released, Taj Mohi U Din questioned. He said Govt has no policy for the development of people living in far off places, there are numerous unresolved problems concerning people, but no heed is being paid towards these, this is ironical also shameful that inspite of addressing problems ruling dispensation is discriminating people merely on political lines, which is not only unfortunate, but highly condemnable. In a scathing attack on PDP BJP regime, Senior Congress Leader cautioned that such type of attitude on the part of Govt will further deepen the alienation among the people, he added and urged upon the Govt to shun the anti-people policies and take effective measures to address issues concerning people on war footing basis, he said.
