BJP Candidate from Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary Constituency & State President Jugal Kishore Sharma (MLA) accompanied by Leader of Legislative party & Jammu East MLA Ashok Khajuria, State Vice-President Ramesh Arora (Adv.), Senior leader Chander Mohan Sharma, Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary Constituency Incharge Yudhvir Sethi and District President Rajesh Gupta, BJYM State President Ravinder Raina and hundreds of supporters had very impressive road show which began from Billu Mandir, Panjtirthi, passing through various bazaars, major lanes of old city including Jain Bazar, Parade, Purani Mandi, Peer Mithi, Nehru Market and Kanak Mandi to garner support from the people. He was given rousing receptions at a number of places by party activists, bazaar associations, social organizations and common people. He also held series of corner meetings in the Jammu East constituency where he listened to the people and apprised them with the policies of BJP.
During the road show and the corner meetings in the Jammu East constituency, Sharma lambasted on the misconceived impressions about development being given by the UPA constituent and NC-Congress coalition partners just to befool the public. Exposing NC-Congress leaders, he said that pisive policies are infact the Central agenda of the ruling coalition in the state which is reflective in discriminatory employment policy, distribution of central and state funds and various other schemes which never reach Jammu region. Contrary to the reported hollow claims of developments, Jammu needs more development and employment for the youth. Referring to the functioning of custodian department, Sharma said that this department was established only to serve those who migrated to Pakistan for permanent settlement at the time of partition of the country. Custodian Department is still protecting the evacuee property of those who migrated to Pakistan and are expected to come back to claim this property even after 66 years. Terming this department as irrelevant, Jugal Kishore Sharma said that ownership rights of this evacuee property should be handed over the tenants and custodian department should be disbanded. He also commented that since Jammu is expending fast therefore the old city requires to be connected with new areas with construction of more flyovers.Jugal also sought clarity over the employment policy of the government doubting present employment policy which has thrown out the youth of Jammu from the state and therefore silent migration which is taking place from old city could be checked.
