Governor Acharya Devvrat and Chief Minister Shri Jai Ram Thakur have paid tribute to martyr Havildar Jorawar Singh who was martyred in Kupwara of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday last. Aged 44, he belonged to village Rait in district Kangra and was posted with 160 Infantry Battalion of Territorial Army.The Governor said that the brave soldier of Himachal Pradesh has made supreme sacrifice for the country. He prayed the Almighty to give peace to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family members to bear this irreparable loss.In his message, the Chief Minister said that the valiant soldiers of the State have always fought for the security of the nation and have made the state proud. The Country and State would never forget the ultimate sacrifice of Havildar Jorawar Singh in the line of duty.The Chief Minister prayed for the peace to the departed soul and extended his sympathies to the grief-stricken family members.
