Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Thursday released the special edition of the magazine ‘Jot’ of Government College for Women, Patiala, in commemoration of its platinum jubilee.Disclosing this here today, a spokesperson of the Chief Minister’s Office said that the college principal Dr. Chirnjive Kaur expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister on behalf of the entire staff and students for the patronage given to the college by the royal family of Patiala.The Patiala royal family, of which the Chief Minister was a scion, had patronised the prestigious institution since its inception through its journey of 75 years. She expressed happiness that the magazine’s release was being done by Captain Amarinder.On the occasion, the principal presented a portrait of Rajmata Mohinder Kaur and a coloured sketch of College building to the Chief Minister, who was accompanied by his Media Advisor Raveen Thukral.
