Members of Chandigarh Traders Association assembled in the office of their President Sh. Kamaljit Singh Panchhi at Anand Complex Sector 17 Chandigarh to celebrate Tilak Holi with Sh. Davesh Modgil, Mayor, Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh. Instead of wasting water, the traders celebrated Holi with simple dry colours. The Traders asked everyone to pledge for the same and assured that soon this way, Chandigarh will become a water conserving city.Mr. Kamaljit Singh Panchhi said that water is a basic necessity of every living human beings and so it deserves an equal humane treatment. Moving ahead for the same, He declared that this season, all the traders and their families will celebrate Holi without water. “we will put Tilak to each other and celebrate dry Holi instead of wasting water. This is our first step towards the SAVE WATER MOVE.Mr. L.C.Arora also stressed on safe Holi celebrations and condemned those pranksters who trouble people by throwing eggs and other such things on people during holi. Mr. Moudgil appeals to all Traders and Public of Chandigarh that in this holi let everyone say no to these harmful colors, and instead use natural colors made from flowers, leaves and herbs. These may cost a little more than the synthetic colors, but then what are few more rupees in comparison to our good health, skin and safety.The prominent among who were present at this occasion were L.C. Arora, Mandeep Singh, P.K. Grover, Naresh Bansal, Gurdeep Singh, Jodh Singh, P.N. Uppal, Bhagwan Das Singla, Narinder Jain & others.
