Chief Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. Suresh Kumar today asked all the departments to undertake classification of development projects as per its priority based on the requirements of the general public.Chairing a meeting of Administrative Secretaries and Deputy Commissioners here at Udyog Bhawan on Tuesday evening, Mr. Suresh Kumar discussed the iconic development projects to be finalized and executed in the state shortly. These projects were related to universities, logistic parks, mega dairy projects, theme parks, industrial parks, sports facilities, convention centres, airports, medical colleges and hospitals besides institutions for higher education. A detailed proposal for the road network and Railway Over Bridges (ROBs) to be constructed across the state was also deliberated upon in the meeting.Apart from these, major citizen centric services were also discussed in detail to improve its delivery systems to the satisfaction of the people. During the meeting, several Administrative Secretaries and Deputy Commissioners of various districts gave their vital inputs and suggestions for the implementation of these projects in the fast track mode.

Summing up the discussions, Mr. Suresh Kumar apprised the officers in the meeting that the suggested projects would be discussed with the Chief Minister before seeking his final nod. He reiterated Captain Amarinder’s firm commitment to ensure overall development and prosperity of all sections of society in the state. Mr. Suresh Kumar directed all the officers to immediately submit a comprehensive note regarding the development projects and pro-people initiatives as suggested by them during the meeting to ensure its prompt implementation in a time bound manner.Prominent amongst others who attended the meeting included Additional Chief Secretary Housing & Urban Development Vini Mahajan, Additional Chief Secretary Development Mr. Viswajeet Khanna, Principal Secretary to CM Tejveer Singh, Principal Secretary Finance Anirudh Tiwari, Principal Secretary Rural Development & Panchayats Anurag Verma, Principal Secretary Irrigation Jaspal Singh, Secretary Industries and Commerce Rakesh Kumar Verma, Secretary PWD (B&R) Hussan Lal, Secretary Water Supply & Sanitation Jaspreet Talwar, Secretary Expenditure DK Tiwari, Director Industries DPS Kharbanda besides Deputy Commissioners of Ludhiana, Bathinda, Amritsar, Gurdaspur, Hoshiarpur and Mohali.
