Jai Ram Thakur urges for sanctioning of central school

Chief Minister Shri Jai Ram Thakur called on Union HRD Minister Prakash Javdekar at New Delhi today. He discussed various issues pertaining to the state with the Union Minister.Chief Minister requested for sanctioning a Central School for Himachal Pradesh for which 10 acres of land would be required and also urged for relaxation of rules keeping in view special requirement of hill state. He also urged the Union Minister for up gradation of NIT Hamirpur.He said that a sum of Rs 205.12 crore under Sarv Shiksha Abhiyan and Rs 230.10 crore under Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan were pending from Government of India and requested for early release of the amount so that these projects could be implemented effectively.Shri Jai Ram Thakur also invited the Minister to visit the state for performing foundation stone of new building of IIM near Nahan soon. He also urged for taking steps for speeding up of establishing Central University.Shri Prakash Javdekar heard the Chief Minister and assured of all possible assistance.
