Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday met a group of youngsters from Jammu and Kashmir who are currently on a nationwide tour, and urged them to take back the message of peace and unity to their militancy-hit state. The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has been organising 'Watan Ko Jano' tour to ensure the exposure of Jammu and Kashmir youngsters to cultural and socio-economic development in other parts of the country. Around 200 youngsters -- hit by militancy and from the weaker sections of society -- visited different places in the country from February 11-20 under this programme. The group has so far visited Ajmer, Jaipur and Agra and will visit historical places in Delhi. Addressing the youngsters, Rajnath Singh said unity in diversity is the hallmark of our country and asked the youngsters to take it forward. "Take interest in education, respect elders, and do something to make your parents and country proud. Also, share your experiences with friends and relatives when you go back," the Minister said as he wished the youngsters a bright future.Another group of 500 students from Jammu and Kashmir will visit various parts of the country later, the MHA said.
