Deputy Commissioner, Tariq Ahmad Zargar today chaired a District Level Screening-cum-Consultative Committee meeting here today to discuss the cases of persons killed in shelling along LOC and in militancy for the grant of Ex-gratia relief in terms cash compensation, and job benefit under SRO 43.Senior Superintendent of Police Rajiv Panday, Additional Deputy Commissioner Dr Bashrat Hussein, Addl SP Anwarul Haq and representatives of 93 Infantry Brigade CRPF and BSF attended the meeting.As many as 10 total cases pertaining to killing and injuries due to shelling along LOC and militancy related cases of persons were discussed in the meeting.The Committee considered the cases and approved one case for compassionate appointment under SRO 43, while as two cases were cleared for compassionate appointment to next of kin of police personnel who were killed in the line of duty. Besides, Rs 4 lakh as cash assistance was sanctioned in three cases and Rs 75,000 assistance was approved for a person who suffered Permanent disability.Two cases were deferred by the committee due to not filling of codal formalities and one case was referred to Empowered Committee for further discussion.
