Congress is being perceived as synonymous with corruption and is losing its support of traditional base because of its anti-people policies. This is the reason that as many as 200 loyalists of the Congress party joined the Bharatiya Janata Party. This was stated by the Bharatiya Janata Party’s MP Candidate for Chandigarh Lok Sabha seat, Kirron Kher at a ‘Jan Sabha’ held at Burail village on Sunday. Kirron Kher presented a momento to Kanwar Rana and appreciated Kuldeep Chaudhary and Narender Gujjar for organising a massive event.

While addressing the gathering, Kirron Kher said that the BJP has always stood for the common and the party would always work towards the welfare of city residents.Speaking on the occasion, BJP’s State President, Sanjay Tandon said, “Many old timers of Congress workers are joining the BJP. It indicates that the congress will face defeat and the BJP is set to register the victory with huge margins. I welcome the new entrants and party will always support them. All of us will work together for the development of the city”.  He also highlighted that Pawan Kumar Bansal has failed to keep the promises of welfare of the residents of Burail village.

On this occasion, Senior Deputy Mayor, Heera Negi, Coordinator, Bhim Sen Aggarwal, District President, Devi Singh, Baljinder Gujral, Gurpreet Singh Dhillon, Bharat Kumar, Rajinder Sharma, Pappu Shukla, N C Goyal, Brij Mohan, Saurabh Bindal, Dr Anwar Ali, Arvind Pal Singh, Pushpa Rathore, Jagjit Kaur, Renu, Kapila, Subash Gupta were present.Those who joined the BJP included Chaudhary Gulab Singh, Chaudhary Bharpur Singh, Chaudhary Baldev Singh, Chaudhary Rajinder Rana, Chaudhary Vikram Singh, Chaudhary Shivcharan Singh Rana, Chaudhary Bharat Singh Rana, Master Dharam Singh and other residents of the village.
