Commercial floriculture training programme concludes at KVK Bandipora

The five-day training programme on Commercial floriculture concluded at Krishi Vighyan Kendre (KVK) Bandipora today. The programme was organised by Floriculture Department Bandipora in collaboration with KVK Bandipora.District Development Commissioner (DDC) Bandipora Sajad Hussain was the Chief Guest at the event while as Associate Director Extension SKAUST-K Dr Sheikh Muzaffar, programme coordinator KVK Dr M.H Samoon, District Floriculture officer Bandipora Mubashir Ahmad besides scientists and Progressive Floriculture growers were present on the occasion.During the training programme, the experts imparted training  about latest scientific and commercial techniques  regarding Floriculture sector. They also replied various questions raised by growers who deal with Floriculture.Speaking on the occasion, the DDC appealed the educated youth to open their ventures and generate employment for themselves and for others. He stressed for the establishment of cooperative type societies to boost various sectors including Floriculture in the District for which he offered full support from the district administration.Later, the DDC distributed certificates among the trainees and hoped that they will avail benefits from the training programme and convey the same to others in their respective areas.
