Social Reformers, A Information Sharing NGO working in the field of RTI and Research & Data Analysis to prevent Corruption & Government malpractices has secured the details of visit of Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh & his team to Mumbai in April earlier this year. As per the information received from Punjab Investment Bureau the visit to Mumbai to boost investment for Punjab was of two days from beginning from 10thto 12th April, 2017 and total 20 members team went with the CM which included Cabinet Ministers Manpreet Singh Badal, Rana Gurjeet Singh, Suresh Kumar Chief Principal Secretary to CM, Raveen Thukral Media Advisor to CM, Tejinder Singh Shergill Sr. Advisor to CM along with other staff and officers.Revealing the Data Rajesh Gupta President of Social Reformers informed that the total cost incurred on the visit was 25.07 lakhs out of which 6.58 lakhs were spent of Air Travel. Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh flew Business Class from Chandigarh to Mumbai and back from Mumbai to Delhi, while Cabinet Minister Rana Gurjeet Singh, Raveen Thukral, Tajinder Singh Shergill & Suresh Kumar also flew Business Class. It’s worth mentioning that as per information received, Finance Minister Manpreet Singh Badal got his Business Class ticket cancelled from Business Class and shifted to Economy Class while his Cabinet Colleague’s and Advisors and Principal Sect, flew Business Class along with CM on the same flight. Out of Total expenses incurred on Air Travel The Fare for 5 persons who flew Business class was 3.5 lacs and for 16 persons who flew Economy including finance Minister Manpreet Singh Badal was 2 lacs. Chief Minister and his team stayed at Hotel Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai and total bill of Taj Mahal Palace Hotel is Rs 15,32, 609/- out of which Rs 8.63 lakhs was spent on accommodation. Chief Minister Amarinder Singh stayed in a Room having tariff of Rs. 80,000/- per night. The other expenditures involving Room Services, Mini Bar incurred by the team was Rs 95,000/ while the bill for dinner for two nights was Rs 5 Lakhs.
