The co-president of Punjab Aam Aadmi Party and legislature from Sunam, Aman Arora on Saturday wrote a letter to the chief minister Punjab, Capt. Amarinder Singh requesting him to provide access of Online Portal of Punjab Sewa Kendra to use it for providing services to the people of his constituency. Arora wrote that as per the media reports the State Government is believed to have made up its mind to wind up majority of Sewa Kendras across the State, mostly in rural areas. It will further create problems for the common people to get services of their day to day life.Arora said that the concept behind the whole project was to streamline the service delivery system by providing multiple services through a single window, for which BLS International Pvt. Ltd was enrolled. But now in a given scenario if Government has decided to wind up these Sewa Kendras, hundreds of employees will be rendered jobless and common, poor and needy citizens will have to face hardships at the hands of multiple offices for getting their petty jobs done. The AAP legislature said that to save the people of his constituency from this harassment and exploitation, he has request the chief minister to allow him access to the Online Portal of the Punjab Sewa Kendra so that he can provide Online Services at his constituency in Sunam and 'Service At People's Doorstep' by starting  'Sewa Kendra on Wheels'.

Arora further wrote that for this purpose he won't need any kind of Government support in terms of finances or infrastructure and it will be completely undertaken by him at his cost and even no facilitation charges, (that are currently being charged by the Company), will be charged. He said that it is the need of the hour to provide services to the people of Punjab at their door step as the people from far rural areas are unable to reach the cities to get these services done. The Sunam legislator said that keeping in view his intent and commitment to serve the people of his constituency, he is hopeful that he will be given an access to online Portal so as to little bit support fund starved State Exchequer, save the common, poor and needy people of his area from harassment of multiple round of govt. offices and provide them service at their doorstep.Arora said that the concept and project of Sewa Kendras would not have collapsed, had it really worked on the principle of ‘Sewa’ by facilitating people with a clear and pious intent, which as a Pilot project can be established if Online Access Portal is provided to me and be further extended, if proven right, to all the sitting legislators of the State, for smooth serving of their people.
