The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Thursday alleged that the BJP had conspired with accused persons in the 2G 'scam', after a special court acquitted all the accused in the case, including former Telecom Minister A. Raja and DMK MP Kanimozhi.Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said the 2G 'scam' was one of the biggest scams that rocked the country and it was one of the reasons for the UPA's downfall. "Did CBI mess up the case? Intentionally? People need answers," Kejriwal tweeted. Addressing media, senior AAP leader Ashutosh said the "CBI has failed miserably" and Prime Minister Narendra Modi should explain to people why CBI was not able to prosecute the accused in the past three-and-half-years. "The Prime Minister and BJP should tell what deal they had struck to help corrupt people in the case," he said. "The nation would not accept that there was no corruption in the 2G scam. The nation would not accept that the CBI could not collect any evidence in the case as the Supreme Court had cancelled 122 licences," the leader said. Ashutosh said that after the verdict on Thursday, an ex-CBI director who was part of the investigation had said that there were evidences against Raja. The leader said that the Congress and BJP are brothers when it comes to corruption and the BJP must be trying to help the corporates involved in the case. When asked whether AAP will hit the streets to protest against the decision, the leader said the party was yet to take a decision on it.
