District Development Commissioner Tariq Ahmad Zargar, today convened a meeting to review the physical and financial achievements of development works of Health department taken up under district plan, BADP, NHM/PMDP.Chief Medical Officer, gave a detailed account of the progress of works taken up under different schemes and apprised the chair about the status of various ongoing development works, their expected date of completion. CMO also informed the chair about works which are at finishing stage at different medical blocks including Surnkote Mendhar, Mandi and Poonch and would be completed by the end of Dec 2017.It was given out that construction of casualty block at SDH Mendhar and construction of SC are at finishing stage. It was also informed that construction of Medical Officers quarters of PHC Behrooti will be completed within two weeks and only sanitary fitting and electrical works of the said building are left.It was further informed that construction of medical officers’ quarters at AD Murrah and Medial officers’ quarters District Hospital Poonch have completed while the construction of Medical Officers quarters at PHC Chandimarah is ongoing. The construction of four gazetted quarters at SDH Mandi is at finishing stage, it was told.
Stressing upon the concerned executing agencies, the DDC asked them to complete the ongoing works within stipulated time. He also directed for strictly adhering to the specifications and ensure use of quality materials. He directed the concerned officers to expedite the work in order to ensure optimal utilization of funds.Threadbare discussions were held on many health care issues besides on issues hindering the works including land disputes etc. He stressed upon the officers to work stringently and energetically to complete the works so that a better & improved health infrastructure can be provided to the people.Regarding construction of 25 ICDS centers in the district, the program officers ICDS informed the chair that estimation and others codal formalities have been completed and works under convergence mode will be started soon.The meeting was attended by ADDC Abdul Hamied, Program officer ICDS Manzoor Chowdhary, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Mumtaz Batti, ACD Mukthar Sheikh, Executive Engineer PWD Satish Bhagat, AEEs, AEEs, BMOS, CDPOs and AD Planning.
