DDC Anantnag reviews implementation of CM’s commitments

District Development Commissioner, Anantnag, Mohammad Younis Malik today chaired a review meeting of the officers to discuss the action taken on directions passed by the Chief Minister during the public darbar on 11th of November, 2017, here at Dak Bungalow Anantnag.The DDC informed the meeting that as many as 319 directions were passed and funds to the tune of Rs. 4.97 crores has also been made available. He called upon the officers to ensure the early completion of the works so that the demands raised during the public darbar are fulfilled at an earliest.With respect to the provision of water supply to different areas of the district, the PHE Department was directed to upgrade the existing schemes. Meanwhile, the Exen PHE informed the chair that pipes have been dumped at some locations, besides the indents for supply of pipes have also been placed.Regarding the upgradation of transmission and distribution system, the Exen PDD said that the department is in the process of procuring material and requisite tendering has been done. Besides, he informed that Kokernag and Dandipora shall be taken up under DDUGJY and Hillar will also be projected under the scheme.

The District Floriculture Officer informed the meeting that for development of Hill Park at Kokernag, requisite ETS is being done which shall be followed by DPR formulation.Meanwhile, the CMO informed that upgradation of facilities in various sub-centres and PHCs has been done while as the formation of medical block Dooru has been taken up with Directorate of Health Services.The DDC directed the ACD to ensure the early de-silting of Panzeth spring. Besides, he directed for face-lifting of the adjacent park. He also directed the Cheif Executive Officer MC Anantnag to start the work of development of parking for AchabalAdda at Ashajipora.The SDM Kokernag said that 12 kanals of land have been identified at Kokernag for mini Secretariat Kokernag.The Exen R&B said that estimation of widening of ADV road is underway. The DDC directed him to formulate a DPR regarding connecting Verinag with the National Highway.The concerned officers briefed the DDC about the implementation status of the directions passed by the Chief Minister in public darbar.The meeting was attended by ADC, ACR, SDMs of Bijbehara, Pahalgam, Kokernag and Dooru, Exens of R&B, PHE, PDD, I&FC, CMO, CEO, other district officers and Tehsildars.Meeting on harassment of women at workplace held at Agriculture Complex Lalmandi Srinagar.
