DDC Kupwara holds Awami Durbar at Kralpora

District Development Commissioner Kupwara, Khalid Jahangir along with Senior Superintendent of Police Kupwara Shamsher Hussain today visited Kralpora tehsil headquarters and conducted a public grievance redressal camp there under ‘Public Contact Programme’ initiative.Officers of different Departments, Tehsildar Kralpora and senior district administration officers were also present on the occasion.On the occasion, locals projected various demands related to drinking water, improvement in road conditions, power supply, allocation of works under RDD, sanitation measures in Kralpora market, construction of footbridge between Sumo and Bus stand, shifting of LT/LT line from HSS Kralpora, street lighting facilities in market, permanent arrangement of drinking water facilities to public of Dardpora, Meeliyal, protection bund for Nallah Hudd, staff for government offices, execution of Mini Secretariat at Kralpora and other basic facilities.Speaking on the occasion the DDC gave the public deputations a patient hearing and assured them that all of their genuine demands would be redressed in a time-bound manner. He directed the concerned executing and implementing agencies to work with added zeal, devotion and dedication so that people would be able to avail the facilities at their doorsteps.He said that drinking water facilities in Dardpora, Meeliyal and its adjoining areas shall be fulfilled at the earliest. He said that 7 new Receiving Station along with transformers and other belongings are in upgradation process, which shall improve the power scenario. He said repairs and renovation of existing Food godown, toilet facility, lighting facilities in market, footbridge between Sumo and Bus stand, besides shifting of HT line over HSS Kralpora shall be undertaken.Referring the allotment of works under Rural Development, the DDC passed instruction that the job card holders be allotted works under MGNREGA, he directed that protection bunds, footbridges, connectivities, hospital, parks and peoples interested works be given priority to create viable assets, besides the Gram Sabah’s be conducted in the area.
