Himachal Chief Minister, Virbhadra Singh termed the statements which appeared in certain columns of press regarding the discussions held with Central leaders  for the post of PCC chief and that of seeking resignation of appointments of chairmen and vice-chairmen of various statutory bodies as baseless. “In my Absence there was lot of news which appeared in certain newspapers which had no base” said the Chief Minister. He said that he had discussions regarding the development issues pertaining to the State with various Union Ministers and said that he had talks with Kamal Nath, Union Minister for Urban Development at New Delhi for initiating the Mono Rail project in the State as a means of rapid transportation system.

Virbhadra Singh said that soon he would be going to Delhi to meet Union Health Minister with the State Health Minister and would seek central assistance for launching various health schemes in the State. “There were numerous Health Schemes of the Central Government and I want to avail as many as possible for the State” quoted the Chief Minister.
