AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal has avoided talking about the 2002 riots while touring Gujarat "because everyone knows what happened in 2002", party leader Manish Sisodia said Saturday. In any case, Kejriwal and he (Sisodia) were in Gujarat to verify claims of all round development made by Chief Minister Narendra Modi, said the former Delhi minister here."Modi has been going around the country for one year and claiming that he has eradicated corruption and brought development to Gujarat. "But we came to know after coming here that whatever he was saying is a bubble," Sisodia told a television channel.

The two Aam Aadmi Party leaders are on a "study tour" of Gujarat. Kejriwal, a former Delhi chief minister, is slated to address a rally here Saturday.Sisodia said the entire country knew what happened in 2002 in Gujarat when the death of 59 Hindus in a train burning in Godhra led to widespread communal riots leaving more than 1,000 people dead. "What happened in 2002 was a blot for our country," Sisodia said. "But everyone knows Modi's version and the country's version of those events."
