In an attempt to make the district Open Defecation free and ensure toilet facility at all the institutions of the district, District Development Commissioner, Ravinder Kumar today conducted inspection of  various Schools, Anganwari Centres and Health institutions under the fortnightly campaign ' Swachhta Hi Sewa'.Taking a serious note of filthy toilets in various institutions, the DDC strictly directed the authorities to make the toilets clean and functional within a week's time.The DDC further stressed upon the concerned authorities to maintain cleanliness at Schools, AWCs and Health institutions for ensuring good health of the beneficiaries. He also stressed on the importance of toilets in maintaining hygiene and good health of the students.Besides, he informed that the cleanest School, cleanest AWC and cleanest PHC of the district would be felicitated with attractive prizes on the final day of the campaign,i.e., October 2. During the inspection, the DDC interacted with the students regarding the facilities being provided to them and took stock of the Mid -day meal scheme.The  institutions visited by the DDC included Government High School Roun,  Government Girls High School Jaganoo, Government Primary Health Centre Jaganoo and   Anganwari centre, Jaganoo etc.Chief Medical Officer, Dr. K.C Dogra , Deputy Chief Education Officer and other officers accompanied the DDC during the visit.
