Governor N.N. Vohra met the young players from J&K who won medals at the South Asian Tong IL Moo-Do Championship which was held at Bhutan, at a reception hosted for the winners and their coaches at the Raj Bhavan here today.Governor interacted with 16 medallists and enquired about their current training schedules and the upcoming competitions for which they were preparing. He lauded the performances of the medallists who have won laurels for J&K and the country  and wished them high success in all their future endeavours. Governor also assured the players and their Coaches that he would urge the State and Union Sports Ministries to provide financial support for promoting this sport.The Medallists who met Governor included Ms. Nazakat, Ms. Aqsa Farid, Syed Baseerat, Jariya Ashya, Mahroosh Manzoor, Adnan Ayoub, Mannar Bsharat, Tanzeel Ahmad,  Qazim, Zeeshan Ahmad Dar, Aqib Muzaffar, Arsalan Aqib, Fazil Aziz, Adil Bashir, Anoosh Salaam, Jibran Maqsood. The Coaches/Mentors accompanying the medallists included Ms. Sayima Rashid, Coach; Sh. Arshad Aziz, General Manager, Jammu and Kashmir Tong IL Moo-Do Association (JKTMA) and Sh. Rameez Khan, Manager JKTMA.Sh. Umang Narula, Principal Secretary to the Governor was present on the occasion.
