Deputations from across JK meet CM, put up demands

Seek upgradation of health, drinking water facilities, completion of dev works; Mehbooba directs immediate action

Several deputations from across the State met the Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti here today. They raised many of their demands and urgent needs with her and sought their immediate redressal.The deputations sought upgradation of health facilities, augmentation of drinking water facilities, completion of drainage projects and pacing up of other developmental works in their areas.In many cases the Chief Minister issued on the spot directions to the concerned Ministers and officers while as in many other cases, Mehbooba Mufti assured the deputationists that their demanded would be looked into and appropriate action taken in a time bound manner.A deputation from Wachi led by MLA, Aijaz Mir sought strengthening of staff at the local PHC and installation of high mast lights at the local Ziarat. Another deputation from Zainapora demanded early construction of Shopian-Bijbehara road and posting of SDM there. They also sought strengthening of health facilities in their area.Deputations from Nayarana, Pulwama and Rusu, Beerwah demanded augmentation of drinking water facilities in their areas. Residents from Rakh i Arath demanded early completion of works at the local Imambarah. Another deputation from Pulwama demanded re alignment of the stretch of NH-444 passing through their area.

A deputation of people from Kunzer sought early construction of Kunzer-Chanapora bridge which, they claimed, would re connect some 50 villages in the area. They also demanded flood protection works on Ferozepora nallah and declaring Chokur as Apple village. They also sought setting up of a fruit mandi there and augmentation of health facilities in the area.Deputations from various areas of Srinagar city also met the Chief Minister, put up their demands and sought their redressal. A deputation from Kursoo, Padshahi Bagh led by MLA, Anjum Fazili demanded early start of work on the Padshahi Bagh-Nowgam road and flood protection works at Padshahi Bagh. Another deputation from Nadru Gund, Peerbagh sought completion of the drainage project in the area. A deputation from Batamaloo also sought early completion of Malroo drainage project.A deputation from Neel, Banihal demanded upgradation of local health centre and construction of Neel-Chamalwas road. They also invited the Chief Minister to visit their area. A deputation from Batote sought rehabilitation of local shopkeepers by Patnitop Development Authority who were affected by the opening of Chennani-Nashri tunnel.A deputation of people from Latti, Doda demanded setting up of a degree college there in view of the centrality of the place in the region. They also invited Mehbooba Mufti to visit their area.A deputation of Hindu Welfare Society, Kashmir also met Mehbooba Mufti and sought rehabilitation measures for the members of non-migrant Kashmiri Pandit families.  Deputations of people from Inderwal, Kathua, Homeshalibug, Lasjan, Chadoora, Surankote, Handai, Shopian, Rajpora, Wadwan also met the Chief Minister and demanded pacing of developmental works in their areas.
