The Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Mr. Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa has directed the senior officers of the department to take action against the panchayat secretaries who do not handover the record to the other Panchayat Secretary after transfer and posting to another block.Mr. Bajwa said that in the meeting with senior officers of the department it has been decided to issue directions in this regard to the all concerned. As per directions of the Minister the Director Rural Development and Panchayat Mr. Siban C has issued instructions to all the District Development Officers, Deputy Executive Officers and Block Development Officers that the panchayat secretaries after being transferred to the other block must handover the record of the gram panchayat with in three days to the other panchayat secretary.Mr. Bajwa also said that it has also been instructed that if the Panchayat Secretary does does not handover the record of Gram Panchayat to the concerned Panchayat Secretary, then departmental action should be initiated and criminal complaint should be lodged.
