DLCSC decides 56 militancy related cases for ex-gratia relief, compensation

The District Level Coordination-cum-Screening Committee (DLCSC) which met today under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner, Rajouri Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary decided 56 cases related to militancy violence, Cross-border firing and others under SRO-43 of 1994.Pertinently, 47 cases pending for last 15 to 20 years for want of minor formalities were also decided. The DLCSC also fixed dates for camps for disposal of all pending cases.The committee considered and decided the cases of NOKs of martyred SPOs namely Mohammad Sabar (2002), Nissar Hussain (2009), Abdul Qayoom (1998), Maqsood Ahmed (2002), Altaf Hussain (2004), Kamal Singh (2002), Khan Mohammad (2009) and Wali Mohammad (2006).The DLCSC also sanctioned relief of Rs 5 Lakh each in favour of NOK of Akhter Bi (2017), Tufail Hussain (2017) and Asiya Kouser (2017) killed during Cross-LoC shelling in Nowshera. It also considered and decided cased of persons injured including Som Raj (2016), Diljeet Kumar (2016), Zatoon Begum (2017) and  Mohammad Hanif(11.05.2017).Further, cases of Sultana Begum (2016), Maqboola Begum (2016), Manzoor Begum (2015) and Mohammad Akhter (2005) were also considered and decided under SRO-43 of 1994 - all militancy related cases. Cash compensation in lieu of employment was approved in favour of Sheraz Ahmed S/O Mohammad Hussain. It also decided pending cases of Mohammad Shafiq, Munir Hussain, Zakra Begum and Noor Bi for cash compensation to NOKs.

Meanwhile a large number of deferred cases were also taken up by DLCSC for consideration under SRO-43 for NOKs of Zarifa Begum (2001), Parveen Akhter 2006), Jasmeet Kour (2002), Vidya Devi (2000), Qasham Bi (2000), Basharat Hussain (2002), Mohammad Liaqat (2007), Shakeel Ahmed (2003), Nazir Bi (2004), Amina Bi (2004), Shakuntla Devi (2002), Said Begum (2002), Jan Bi (2002), Ghulam Fatima (2003), Mohd Tufail (2004), Karpal Singh (2002), Ghulam Hussain (2001), Mohd Zarait (2001), Nazir Hussain (2007), Javed Iqbal (2002), Nazia Kouser (2003), Vijay Kumar (2002), Om Parkash (2003), Sham Lal (2003), Munshi Ram (2001), Mohammad Adrees (1998) and Mohd Aslam (2011).The families of these victims of militancy related incidents could not receive compensation for want of minor formalities and accordingly DLCSC decided to constitute a team of Revenue and Police for approaching these families and organizing a camp on 19 August, 2017 for disposal of all deferred cases and providing compensation.SSP Yougal Manhas, ADC Mumtaz Ali, ACR Abdul Qayoom Mir, PO ICDS Mohammad Rashid, DSWO Dr Abdul Khabir, CMO Dr Suresh, Senior officers of Army, BSF, CRPF, and other officers attended the DLCSC meeting.
