The Member of Canadian Parliament from Brampton Centre Constituency Mr. Ramesh Sangha, who is on six days tour to Chandigarh and Punjab, made a courtesy call on Rana K.P Singh, Hon'ble Speaker of Punjab Legislative Assembly, today.The Canadian parliamentarian, who originally belongs to village Jandusingha in Jalandhar, showed intense inclination towards enhancing the cordial relations between the people of India and Canada.Acknowledging the contribution of Punjabis in the economic prosperity of Canada, Speaker Rana K.P Singh showed great concern for the problems of NRIs of Punjabi origin living in Canada and suggested various methods to redress the problems being faced by the NRI diaspora back in India as well as in Canada. The Speaker also apprised Canadian MP of the various initiatives being taken by the Government of Punjab under the leadership of Captain Amarinder Singh for the welfare of NRIs.Shri Ramesh Sangha has expressed his satisfaction over the steps being taken by the Government of Punjab for solving the problems being faced by the NRIs in Punjab.
