All J&K Polytechnics Academic Arrangements Association (AJKPAAA) continued their protest on the 15th consecutive day today.All the Academic staff of Polytechnic colleges participated in the protest and the teaching work remained suspended in all the Polytechnic colleges.The protesting staff alleged that the department is even not bothering about those who have given 25 years of their youth to the department.They said that department itself accepted in the legislative council that out of 313 posts of lecturers 248 are vacant where as out of 89 posts of demonstrators 80 posts are vacant and the academic arrangements are engaged against these clear vacancies, who are the real pillars of the Technical Education Department in running their 24 Polytechnics smoothly.The protesting staff said that academic arrangements are paid a consolidated salary and are obeying all rules and regulations of contractual.She alleged that department deliberately used the term the academic arrangements to deprive them from the regularization benefits of J&K Civil Services Act 2010.They appealed to the Technical Education Minister to intervene in their matter as the department in not serious regarding them.They further said that their demand of including them into JK Civil services act or to frame regularization policy for them should be addressed otherwise they will intensify their stir.  (CNS)
