Deputy Commissioner, Poonch,  Tariq Ahmad Zargar today held a meeting with civil society  members  and thoroughly discussed with them local issues.The participants representing cross section of the society, welcomed the DDC and  assured their full  cooperation in taking district forward on developmental  front.Seeking a comprehensive development road map,   the participants brought several core issues into the notice of Deputy Commissioner, ranging from maintaining law and order and communal harmony, improvement in service delivery, quality food grains at ration depots, improvement in staff positioning in District hospital and other health institutions, improvement in water and power supply and  others related developmental issues .The civil society members, during a hour long interaction, commended the steps already initiated by the district administration to check absenteeism in government offices and improving functioning of health institutions.

The Deputy Commissioner while underlining the role of civil society in ensuring a proactive and participative administration sought their cooperation in dealing with vital issues of public importance. The deputy commissioner assured that all the important issues with special focus on maintaining accountable and transparency at all administrative levels, would be addressed through a comprehensive approach.He said district administration will also launch an anti encroachment drive and sought active cooperation and support of civil society in this regard.Ways and means for effective traffic management and   improvement of water and power supply in the district were among several other issues which were deliberated  in detail.SSP, Rajiv Kumar Panday, ACR Ashraf  Choudhary, Tehsildar  Haveli besides others officers attended the meeting.
