District Development Commissioner, Tariq Ahmad Zargar, convened an introductory meeting with all district officers, here today. During interaction with the officers of different departments, the DDC stressed for bringing added transparency in overall functioning of each department.The officers of Social Welfare, Horticulture, Health, and Rural Development Department were instructed to pro actively disseminate the information to beneficiaries by holding awareness camps under different schemes so that people can avail maximum benefits.The Deputy Commissioner asked the officers of Irrigation and Flood Control, Agriculture and allied departments to put in place a convergence plan for timely completion of ongoing projects.While underlining the importance of District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) in improving the standard of education in the district, the DDC directed Principal DIET to take corrective measures with focus on structural and institutional transformation to overhaul the functioning of the institute.Earlier, all the officers apprised the DDC about the achievements of their respective departments.
