District Development Commissioner, Ghulam Nabi Balwan, reviewed the physical and financial progress of the ongoing development projects in a meeting convened here today.During the meeting, DDC enquired about the progress of mega projects like construction of 100 bedded hospital at Kishtwar, construction of school buildings under RMSA, work on degree college of Chatroo and Marwah, other building works of health and animal husbandry departments. He was informed that the tendering process for work of additional 100 bedded hospital in Kishtwar has been done.Deputy Commissioner also reviewed the status of various link roads being constructed under PMGSY and was informed that repair and maintenance works on various links roads connecting major towns of Kishtwar is going on smoothly whereas the patch work on few left out roads shall be take up shortly.Referring to the scarcity of water in Kishtwar, Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned department to increase the pace of work on Naigaid water supply scheme, water upliftment scheme and filtration plant works so that people could get adequate water supply.On the issue of construction of Indoor stadium at Kishtwar, the DC directed the Youth service & Sports Officer to complete land identification process at the earliest so that the work on much awaited project be started soon.
