With a view to uphold integrity, honesty and responsibility among its own employees, the State Vigilance Bureau has strictly warned that it will not spare vigilance officers and officials at any cost whose integrity is found to be doubtful.Disclosing this here today, Chief Director Vigilance Bureau B.K. Uppal said the Bureau would ensure, maintain and promote inter-alia high ethical standards, integrity and honesty among all its public servants in accordance with fundamental principles of service rules and legal system. He maintained that VB was committed to eradicate corruption in all of its forms from all government offices of the State and would actively keep its vigilant eye on its own force.Mentioning a recent default in performance of official work, Mr Uppal informed that Inspector Prem Nath posted at VB unit Sri Muktsar Sahib has been placed under suspension for his doubtful morality and to be dealt by the department strictly. He further said the defaulter Inspector have not prepared an investigation report diligently but ignored many facts which were in fact mentioned clearly in the vigilance complaint handed to him for thorough probe.Chief Director Vigilance has asked the public as well as all honest public servants to help the VB in its anti-corruption drive in the state and inform the Bureau on its toll free helpline 1800-1800-1000 if any public servant demands bribe.
