Expressing serious concern over mysterious disappearance of a youth Zubair Ahmad Turey (Shopian) during police custody, Syed Ali Geelani urged for his immediate recovery. Such type of incidents is of grave concern and it is unbelievable that a person will give slip while in police lockup said Geelani. In a statement issued to KNS, Geelani urged human rights organizations for their cognizance in this case and said that it is rather serious issue. Geelani while referring to uncaring approach and enigmatic silence of police authorities, said it is unbearable and warned of dire consequences if any untoward happens to Zubair Ahmad.Meanwhile, Hurriyat Conference (G) disclosed that ICDS workers, SPO’s and agencies sponsored NGO’s have been asked to attend public meetings being organized by PDP.Blaming PDP led administration for their deceit, Hurriyat said they stand exposed and are desperate to show its worth and compelling class forth workers to attend these public gathering & threatened otherwise to face consequences. It is mere show of and their gimmick, said Hurriyat and disclosed that these class forth workers & employees are harassed and impressed to attend these meetings.Hurriyat (G) said that just like National Conference, PDP too has lost its ground and faith and their party credentials and symbol stand at the verge of extinction and as such are very desperate to revive their existence.

Referring to a few sections who were optimistic about PDP, however its alliance with Jan Sangh leadership has waved of all misconceptions and confusion and they too acknowledge that PDP is working as subordinate & subservient team for RSS. Hurriyat Conference (G) said that despite complete submission by PDP cadre, the Jan Sangh leadership don’t trust them and doubt their credibility & credentials.PDP is a confusing lot, said Hurriyat and desperate to show its worth and hold public meetings. Quoting reliable sources, Hurriyat said that they are hiring and deploying all its machinery to make its show a success. They have asked all NGO’s & ICDS workers to attend said public gathering, said Hurriyat.Hurriyat while ridiculing all pro-Indian parties, said that these parties stand exposed and have lost their credibility in public. Hurriyat said that better for these parties, to windup their politics and join freedom struggle.Meanwhile, Hurriyat Conference (G) condemned the continued house arrest of its chairman Syed Ali Geelani, saying that stopping pro-freedom leaders from performing their religious and social responsibilities is gross violation of human rights and interference in the personnel and religious rights. Police authorities has so far failed to produce any court order or any administrative document in support of this illegal detention. What is the justification in turning his residence into a sub-jail, asked Hurriyat? Nobody and not even media can meet him, said Hurriyat and terming these curbs as state terrorism, Hurriyat said that such cowardice acts are unjustified unethical and illogical. (KNS)
