Renowned Qawwali singers of Bollywood, Kun Faya Kun song acclaim, the Nizami Bandhu today enthralled the audience at Abhinav Theatre, Jammu with their mesmerising performance.The Nizami Bandhu were performing at the ‘Sufi and Qawwali Evening’ organised by Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art Culture and Languages.Vice Chairmen Jammu and Kashmir Tourist Development Corporation (JKDTC) Rafi Ahmad Mir was chief guest on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Rafi appreciated the efforts of JKAACL in organising this event and bringing such acclaimed artists to the state.He said that events like these provide people with opportunities to socialize and take time out for themselves and their families from their busy fast-paced lives.The evening was marked by spiritual and cultural songs rich with traditional tones. The songs with their expression communicated a message of love, peace and harmony.Chand Nizami of Nizami Bhandu, expressing their thanks to the academy for providing them with this opportunity to perform in Jammu and Kashmir said that people of the state have a long association with music especially sufi music. He said that it is an honour to perform for the people who not only enjoy the music understand and connect with its sprit.A large number of people from all walks of life participated in the programme besides a huge number of student participation.Prominent among those who attended the programme include Commissioner Secretary Higher Education Dr. Asgar Samoon, Secretary Culture Dilshada Khan, Dean Students Welfare Jammu University Satnam Koul and Special Secretary Chief Ministers Secretariat Bashir Ahmad.
