Students of Govt Post Graduate College, Rajouri Wednesday staged a protest against the killings of civilians in Kashmir valley on Apr 9.The students according to the KNS correspondent, Umar Malik were shouting slogans against state government and other slogans like 'Sab naaro'n pe ek bhari, humara haq Raishumaari’.The agitating students flayed New Delhi and the state government in J&K who are silently watching the killings and ‘destruction’.Speaking during the protest, Chowdhary Bilal Ahmed said, “Kashmir is a globally acknowledged dispute between India-Pakistan and for its permanent settlement New Delhi has adopted non serious attitude.” Terming the recent killings as ‘worst kind of state terrorism’, Saqib Malik, another protester said, “We stand with our state counterparts in valley who are subjugated to worse kind of oppression.” Another leading protestor, Aquib Wani urged upon world community and UN to take notice of Human Rights violations in Kashmir for the restoration of permanent peace and prosperity.The protestors expressed sympathy with the families of civilians killed, injured and jailed.However, the protesters later dispersed peacefully.
