The Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh has said that necessary measures are underway to ensure effective implementation of R-APDRP so that power infrastructure of the cities and towns is properly augmented and people get adequate supply of electricity.The Deputy Chief Minister was interacting with officers during his extensive tour of the Jammu city the other day to inspect the R-APDRP works and get the first hand information about the status of the project implementation.Commissioner/Secretary, PDD Mr Dheeraj Gupta, Chief Engineers and other senior officers of PDD accompanied the Dy CM.Dr Singh directed the officers to speed up the pace of execution of this prestigious programme so that it gets completed within the stipulated timeframe and people get benefitted.  He said necessary monitoring is essential for successful implementation of the programme so that it is completed in consonance with the laid down guidelines and also public participation.The works inspected by Deputy Chief Minister include 33/11 KV receiving station at Hakkal, Gandhi Nagar, Delli, Sainak Colony, Subash Nagar, Barnai and 10 MVA augmentation of receiving station at JDA complex, Railway Complex, Channi Himmat and Dennis Gate. He also inspected 10 KV CH3 and 11 KV CH5 feeders High Voltage Distribution System (HVDS) and Low Tension (LT) cabling.
