Chandigarh Group of Colleges Jhanjeri organized a Blood Donation Camp in the college in association with Blood Transfusion Society of PGI, Chandigarh in the direction of serving the society. The Camp was inaugurated by Dr. Sandeep Jassal, MD (AM), the founder of Live Life More. A huge response was received from the staff members & the students of the college.. As many as 189 students , Faculty and support staff members donated the blood
Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President CGC complimented the staff and the students for this noble social cause. He appreciated the enthusiasm among the students who donated the blood. He further said that if we could motivate people, they will also come forward to donate blood. It is create awareness among the masses that by donating blood we do not lose anything but through this noble act, they could potentially save precious lives of some one. Dr. Bansal added that organizing Blood Donation Camp is a regular feature of CGC and the number of staff members & students interested in donating blood is always much higher than the expected number. In view of this, another camp will be arranged within a short time again.Blood donors were served snacks before and after the blood donation by the Institution.
