Director General of Police (DGP), Dr. S. P. Vaid has said that the use of latest gadgets and technology during the ongoing recruitment of Constables in JKP is yielding good results and the aspirants have shown their faith upon the recruiting agency.Dr. Vaid was supervising recruitment process at Gulshan Ground here today. He said that recruitment process of five IRP Battalions in JKP has been initiated in the State. In the first phase the process was initiated in Jammu Province by conducting physical/endurance tests of the aspirants and in the second phase, the process in Kashmir Province will be completed by the end of May.DGP said that JKP has been adopting latest technology to ensure a transparent recruitment process. He said that the department in collaboration with a Private Agency has been conducting the required tests and process is recorded through CCTV Cameras and other equipments to avoid any discrepancy. The result of the tests is prepared and announced on the spot and any candidate having reservations with his results is shown the video footage to clear his doubts.

Dr. Vaid asked the candidates not to fall prey to any tout as the whole process is conducted in a highly transparent manner with the help of latest gadgets and here is no scope for any human interference. He said that written test will also be conducted in a transparent manner and the selection will be made on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in that test.DGP while interacting with the candidates, got feedback from them about the recruitment process. Candidates hailed the procedures adopted by JKP, saying that they are highly satisfied with the process. They said that they have witnessed such transparent system first time though they have participated in various recruitment rallies. DGP assured that the whole process would be transparent and only the deserving candidates would be selected.Earlier, the Chairman Police Recruitment Board, Mr. Surinder Gupta, briefed the DGP about the ongoing process of recruitment. He said that as many as 19,276 candidates have applied for district Jammu against 704 earmarked vacancies. He further informed that 1.18 lakh candidates have applied for the advertised posts, for which tests are conducted. After completing the process of physical tests in all districts of the State, date for written test of the qualified candidates would be notified, he said.DGP was accompanied by DIsGP, GH Bhat, Nissar Ahmed and Deepak Salathia.
