All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) Chairman, Mirwaiz Muhammad Umar Farooq, who was placed under house arrest early Friday morning at his residence and once again barred from offering Friday prayers, said that the killing of minor girl Kaneeza at Hyhama Kupwara once again shows the utter disregard and callousness that the forces have for the life of a Kashmiri which can become a target any and everywhere, even while sleeping within the confines of their homes.  Mirwaiz said, as reported in local dallies during  the cordoning off of  the area to carry out their operation , the forces did not allow the residents to leave their homes for safer places which shows utter lack of concern for the safety of the residents and is highly condemnable.Mirwaiz said after killing of little Kaneeza and causing grievous bullet injury to her brother Faisal, to add insult to the injury of the shocked poor family the local police shamelessly tried to bribe them into silence by offering some relief of food items, which shows complete moral bankruptcy of those in power.

Mirwaiz said the cycle of killing and death of our young old and children will continue and so will grave violation of human rights and the dehumanization of state agencies engaged in crushing peoples political movement unless good sense does not prevail upon those in charge, that the dispute has to be resolved and political aspirations of people of Kashmir engaged with.Meanwhile a spokesman of APHC also strongly condemned the detention of APHC Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq at his Nigeen residence .The spokesman also condemned the house detention of senior Hurriyat leader Mukhtar Ahmad Waza and APHC Media Advisor Advocate Shahid ul Islam and said such tactics are aimed to curb the genuine voice of the people of Kashmir which, however, is not going to happen because the people and leadership are committed to take the struggle forward.
