Deputy Chief Minister Punjab Sukhbir Singh Badal today announced that Development and Performance of last 7 years in Punjab would be the poll plank of SAD-BJP alliance in ensuing Lok Sabha polls as Punjab has made massive strides in Power, infrastructure, administrative sectors besides maintaining peace and communal harmony in the state.Exhorting the electorate to differentiate between development and performance vision of SAD-BJP alliance and previous misrule of Congress Party, Mr. Badal said he was convinced that people would recognize development, progress and all round prosperity. He said the SAD-BJP Government was looking after interests of all sections of society. “We have ensured speedy development in rural areas and changed the face of major cities besides establishing key infrastructure including modern airports”. 

Deputy CM said that the stage has now been set for leading Punjab into an even bigger league with the successful hosting of Progressive Punjab Investment Meet which had resulted in proposed investments of Rs. 65000 crore besides arrival of major private players namely Infosys, ITC and Cargill into the State. “With the overwhelming response and massive success of Progressive Punjab Agriculture Summit, a new thrust would be given to agriculture with focus being laid on Agro and Food Processing industry to benefit the farmers” he added.Launching statewide drive to equip more than 12,000 villages of state with modern facilities, Deputy CM said a concerted drive to ensure 24X7 clean water supply, sewerage system, CC flooring and other basic amenities including well-built and maintained concrete streets in the border area of the State has been initiated and within two years the Punjab villages would witness unprecedented development. Announcing this, the Deputy CM said the SAD-BJP Government was committed to upgrade the standards of residents by providing all basic amenities including setting up of Reverse Osmosis plants in the border belt, including small villages and dhanis. He also sanctioned several RO plants, including mini RO’s during Sangat Darshan programmes at Lamochar Kalan, Bhamba Wattu Uttar and Bhamani Wala.Calling upon common masses to come forward for taking full benefit of welfare schemes launched by SAD-BJP Government,

Badal said within two-three days more than 16,000 beneficiaries of Atta-Daal scheme would get their blue cards and more than 2100 tube well connections would also be released within a week to the farmers of Jalalabad. Addressing the villagers Deputy CM said he believed in all round and comprehensive development adding all the streets in rural belts would be concreted and cemented at one go since the Punjab Government had finalized a blue print in this regard, which would be implemented within two years.Meanwhile Mr. Badal also laid the foundation stone of CC Flooring in all streets and water supply at Jhuge Tek Singh village, Sukhera Bodla village, Lamochar Kalan, Uttar, Maujewala, Chak Lamochar, Ghumani Wala Khuh besides initiating work of water supply at village Kathgarh. The total cost of CC Flooring would be Rs. 6.61 crore.  Prominent amongst those present on the occasion Mr. Sher Singh Ghubaya, Mr. Jangveer Singh, Media Advisor to Deputy CM, Member Parliament, MLA Mr. Gurtej Singh Ghuriana, Mr. Satinder Singh Manta, constituency incharge, Chairman SC Land Development and Finance Corporation Mr. Parkash Singh Bhatti, Commissioner Ferozepur pision Mr. V.K. Sharma and Deputy Commissioner Dr. Basant Garg.
