SML Van Is Used For Legal Literacy Camps

Under the aegis of Punjab Legal Services Authority, Chandigarh, one SML Van is being used for Legal Literacy campaigning/activity through out the Punjab. According to the schedule, the said vehicle will be used by District Legal Services Authority, SAS Nagar from 16.03.2017 to 28.03.2017. Accordingly Mrs. Archana Puri, Learned District & Sessions Judge  cum Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, SAS Nagar today flagged off the SML van. While talking to the media-person, Mrs. Archana Puri told that the vehicle has been sent by the Punjab Legal Services Authority, chandigarh for creating awareness amongst the general public. Therefore, during this period this Authority will hold various seminars/camps to create awareness, whereby Panel Advocates and Para Legal Volunteers of this office will sensitize the public of villages such as Sahora, Goslan, Mauli Baidwan, Kalewal, Bajheri, Rasanheri, Raipur Kalan, Chhat, Singhpura, Lakhnaur and Gigemajra about the legal services and schemes provided by District Legal Services Authority. On this occasion Mrs. Monika Lamba, Learned Chief Judicial Magistrate-cum-Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, SAS Nagar told that a person of SC/ST, woman/Child, person with disability, an industrial workmen or a person with an annual income of less than Rs. 1,50,000/- can avail free legal aid.
