Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Dr. Farooq Ahmad Lone, today chaired a meeting to review preparedness of Digidhan mela scheduled on March 18, 2017 at Kashmir Haat Srinagar.Representatives of Banks, Oil marketing companies, Fertilizer companies, CSCs, Telecom companies, E-merchant companies and other concerned attended the meeting.The mela will bring service providers and consumers on same platform, teaching them methods of cashless transactions and how to get registered to use various services, get Aadhaar enrolment, making corrections in Aadhaar numbers and EPICs, besides host of other services.The event will witness participation from Banks, Telecom companies, e-Wallet and m-Wallet companies, Officials of Agriculture, UID, Public Distribution System, Fisheries, Tourism, Floriculture, Handlooms, Handicrafts, Education, SMC, RTO, DIC, Health etc. Around 65 stalls will be set up at KashmirFree WiFi facility will be made available for the people to enable them to download and install mobile apps for aiding on the spot digital payments.It was given out that lucky draw ceremony will be conducted at SKICC on March 18 at 2:00 pm under “Lucky Grahak Yojana” and “Digi-Dhan Vyapar Yojana”, during which merchants and customers would be rewarded for accepting and adapting to digital payments.
