District Information Centre, Kathua organized a Multi-lingual Mushaira and Cultural Bonanza at Govt. Degree College, Basohli.Principal of the College Prof. Sohan Lal was the chief guest on the occasion.Those who recited their poems during the musharia included Shahbaz Shah, Pallavi Rani, Jahangir Iqbal, Sohoil Ahmed, Javed Sheikh, Kajal Pathania, Rishab Sharma, Ashraf Mattoo and Sourav Shastri.After Mushaira, a colorful cultural programme was also presented by the artists of Information Department. District Information Officer Kathua Angrej Singh appreciated the poets and especially the students of the college who recited their poetry for the first time in this multilingual mushaira. He said that Kathua is famous for its lingual and cultural diversity and budding poets shall carry forward this legacy.Principal of the college Prof. Sohan Lal Bhagat in his address thanked Information Department for organizing multilingual Mushaira and cultural bonanza. He also complimented the participating poets and cultural artists for their performance.College staff, prominent citizens and large number of college students were presented on the occasion.
