Deputy Speaker, Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Nazir Ahmad Gurezi today reviewed and discussed the issues of rehabilitation for Kishanganga Hydel Electric Power (KGHEP) project.The meeting was attended by Commissioner Secretary, Revenue Mohammad Ashraf Mir, Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir Baseer Ahmad Khan, District Development Commissioner, Bandipora Sajad Hussain, Additional Commissioner, Kashmir A R War, General Manager, NHPC (KGHEP), Sub Divisional Magistrate, Gurez Mohammad Rouf, Representatives of the Joint Committee of KGHEP Project Affected Families including Munir Samoon, M. Azad Lone and Abdul Salam through video conference and other officers.

The Divisional Commissioner Kashmir briefed the Deputy Speaker about overall progress of the KGHEP and Rehabilitation and Resettlement (RR) Plan.On the occasion Divisional Commissioner asked DC Bandipora to examine the cases of left over families afresh and come up with the detailed note about the issues of the affected people due to construction of KGHEP.Deputy Speaker while stressing the need for early settlement of all the issues of the affected families directed the concerned to take all requisite measures for early rehabilitation of the families affected due to the project.
